Historic Green’s Spring Greening is an annual volunteer project organized by green building professionals and students from all over the country. Its objective is to sustainably rebuild and restore the Holy Cross historic community of Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. This March, hundreds of students and young professionals will converge on New Orleans – bringing their energy and ideas to help the people of the Lower 9 revitalize their community. These volunteers include architects, engineers, planners, landscape architects, interior designers and contractors who will work hand in hand with neighborhood residents on their historic houses, parks, playgrounds and community centers.
